PDF Toolkit Support

We're here to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I merge PDFs?

Click the PDF Toolkit icon in your browser toolbar. Drag and drop your PDF files into the drop zone, or click to browse. Reorder files by dragging the handle on each row. Click the Merge button to combine them into a single PDF.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device. PDF Toolkit does not have a server, and cannot access your files outside of your browser session.

What file types are supported?

PDF Toolkit works with PDF files for merge, compress, and split operations. For the convert feature, PNG and JPEG images are supported and will be converted into PDF pages.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no hard file size limit, but very large files (over 100 MB) may cause your browser to slow down since all processing happens in memory. For best results, keep individual files under 50 MB.

How does the free plan work?

The free plan includes all four tools (merge, convert, compress, split) with a limit of 3 operations per day. The counter resets every 24 hours. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited use.

How do I activate my Pro license?

After purchasing, you'll receive a license key via email. Open the PDF Toolkit popup, scroll to the bottom, enter your key in the license field, and click Activate. Your Pro status will be confirmed instantly.

Can I use my license on multiple computers?

Yes. Each license supports up to 3 activations, so you can use PDF Toolkit Pro on your work computer, personal laptop, and another device.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can manage your subscription through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. A link is included in your purchase confirmation email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

The extension isn't working. What should I do?

Try these steps: (1) Refresh the page and try again. (2) Disable and re-enable the extension in chrome://extensions. (3) Clear the extension's storage by right-clicking the icon and selecting "Options." (4) If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the extension.

How do I split a PDF into specific pages?

Upload a single PDF, click Split, and enter your page ranges. Use commas to separate ranges: "1-3, 5, 7-9" extracts pages 1 through 3, page 5, and pages 7 through 9 as separate PDFs.
